Current availability

The subject-specific curriculum is authored but not yet published for completion. Learners may inspect its scope and learning design now. Start, grading, and completion remain unavailable until every listed gate passes.

  • qualified review approval is required
  • reviewer identity, qualification, evidence, and approval date are required

What this course establishes

  • Translate a fictional project charter and contract into scope, responsibility, WBS, estimate and risk controls
  • Build a logic-driven schedule and coordinated procurement, RFI, submittal, change and site-logistics plan
  • Create paper-only cost, quality, safety, environmental, payment, closeout and lessons-learned evidence

Entry knowledge

  • Arithmetic, percentages, units, drawings/specifications and spreadsheet literacy
  • Ability to distinguish owner, designer, contractor, construction manager, subcontractor, supplier, inspector and authority roles
  • Commitment to truthful schedule/cost/safety/quality reporting, worker participation and documented authorization

Scope boundaries

  • All owners, firms, workers, bidders, sites, contracts, permits, costs, schedules, incidents and records are fictional. Learners must not direct field work, enter/control a jobsite, approve design, sign contracts, authorize changes/payments, certify payroll, practice engineering/architecture/law/accounting, submit permits, investigate incidents, make safety determinations or communicate as an owner/contractor/authority through this course.
  • This is not contractor/construction-manager licensure, CCM/PMP/LEED or other certification, registered apprenticeship, supervised experience, OSHA training, competent-person designation, design professional authority, public procurement qualification, legal advice, college credit or professional certification.
  • Only executed contracts, current approved documents, adopted law/code, licensed design and legal advice, actual funding/procurement requirements, insurer/surety terms, permits, qualified employer safety programs and delegated authority govern real projects. Internal completion or a fastest route never predicts approval, safety, price, schedule, certification, profit or employment.

Fastest competency route

Completion is self-paced and competency-based. Prior knowledge may shorten conceptual study only when contract, logic, cost, authority, safety and revision evidence remains complete. Supervised experience, licenses, certifications, delegated signature authority, safety roles, public procurement qualification and professional practice remain external; no fastest-hour, approval, savings, schedule or employment promise is made.

  1. Pass diagnostics on delivery/contract, scope/WBS, estimating, CPM, procurement, change, safety/logistics, quality, cost/payment and closeout
  2. Repair every planted defect in the fictional project-controls audit
  3. Complete and defend the construction-management control dossier

Full self-paced route

  1. Project delivery, contracts, scope, estimates, stakeholders and risk
  2. CPM scheduling, procurement, RFIs/submittals, changes, logistics, safety and environment
  3. Quality, cost/payment, accessibility, commissioning, closeout and ethical reporting
  4. Applied project-controls dossier

Lesson and assessment map

01

Project delivery, contracts, scope, estimates, stakeholders, and risk

Convert fictional governing documents into traceable scope, responsibility, budget and decision controls.

4 questions: recall, application, judgment, and error correction.

02

CPM scheduling, procurement, changes, logistics, safety, and environment

Build an integrated fictional execution plan whose logic, approvals and work controls remain visible.

4 questions: recall, application, judgment, and error correction.

03

Quality, cost/payment, accessibility, commissioning, and closeout

Create an auditable fictional control cycle from installed-work verification through payment and turnover.

4 questions: recall, application, judgment, and error correction.

Required applied assignment

Construction-management control dossier

Repair the fictional project-controls audit and create one paper-only dossier from delivery/contract and scope through estimate, CPM, procurement, change, site/safety/environmental coordination, quality, cost/payment, commissioning and closeout. Exercise no field, design, legal, contracting, payment, payroll, permit, safety or signature authority.

  • Delivery/contract/authority, WBS/scope/document, stakeholder and risk/ethics records
  • Quantity-based estimate, budget/commitment/actual/accrual/forecast and cash-flow reconciliation
  • Logic-driven baseline/update, procurement, RFI/submittal and authorized-change registers
  • Site logistics, worker-participation, safety coordination and jurisdiction-specific environmental plan
  • Quality/accessibility, cost/EVM/payment, commissioning/closeout and balanced dashboard with duplicate repair, denominators and missingness

Passing standard: 80 of 100 points, with substantive revision required.

Continue after this course

  • Verify licensing, project-delivery, procurement, labor, environmental, safety, accessibility, insurance/bond, lien/payment and records rules for the intended project
  • Complete supervised work on real estimate, CPM, procurement, field coordination, quality, safety, cost, payment and closeout systems within delegated authority
  • Maintain contract, baseline, change, risk, safety, quality, environmental, payment, as-built and continuing-competence records
