Current availability

The subject-specific curriculum is authored but not yet published for completion. Learners may inspect its scope and learning design now. Start, grading, and completion remain unavailable until every listed gate passes.

  • qualified review approval is required
  • reviewer identity, qualification, evidence, and approval date are required

What this course establishes

  • Separate federal agency requirements, state credentials, competency evaluation, supervision and employer authorization for home-health-aide work
  • Plan person-centered simulated home visits that integrate identity, rights, ADLs, instrumental tasks, nutrition, medication boundaries, infection controls and reporting
  • Recognize and control fictional household, mobility, driving, violence, animal, utility and emergency hazards while maintaining closed-loop continuity

Entry knowledge

  • Basic reading, arithmetic, communication and household-task skills
  • Ability to distinguish objective observation from assessment, diagnosis or care-plan change
  • Commitment to work only from the current individualized plan, verified assignment and demonstrated competency

Scope boundaries

  • Every person, home, record and activity is fictional simulation. Learners must not assess, diagnose, triage, treat, prescribe, administer or organize real medication, feed someone without a verified swallowing plan, transfer or lift a real person, perform exercises, wound or device care, collect specimens, drive or transport a client, access a real record, enter an unsafe home, alter equipment, or direct real care or emergency response through this course.
  • This internal certificate-of-completion course is not an approved home-health-aide training or competency evaluation program, state license or certification, nurse-aide equivalency, Medicare agency qualification, clinical placement, employer competency validation, nursing credential, first-aid/CPR certification, degree, college credit or in-service attestation. No completion time, credential, examination result, transfer, placement or employment outcome is guaranteed.

Fastest competency route

Completion is self-paced and competency-based. Prior knowledge can shorten study only when authority, individualized plan, choice, safe technique, objective reporting and backup continuity remain traceable across varied simulations; no completion time, hands-on competence, agency qualification, state credential, credit or employment outcome is guaranteed.

  1. Pass diagnostics on qualification, plan of care, rights, ADLs, household support, nutrition, medication boundaries, observation, infection, mobility and emergency continuity
  2. Repair every planted defect in the fictional home-visit audit
  3. Complete and defend a simulation-only home-visit and continuity dossier

Full self-paced route

  1. Role, qualification, plan of care, rights and communication
  2. Personal care, household support, nutrition, medications and reporting
  3. Home safety, infection prevention, mobility, emergencies and continuity
  4. Applied home-visit dossier

4 questions: recall, application, judgment, and error correction.

Required applied assignment

Simulation-only home-visit and continuity dossier

Repair the fictional visit audit and design one complete home-health-aide episode from pre-visit review through closed-loop handoff. Use fictional data and paper/digital simulation only. Every task must trace to the current plan, assignment, verified competency and supervision; do not enter a real home or provide real care.

  • Corrected visit audit with one disposition per stable ID and a duplicate-resolution log
  • Qualification, competency, supervision, in-service, state and agency-requirement crosswalk
  • Current-plan and assignment comparison with rights, identity, consent/refusal, access, family-boundary and property controls
  • ADL, IADL, nutrition/hydration, medication-boundary, observation and escalation simulations
  • Home/transport/lone-worker hazard screen, infection setup, exposure response, mobility gate and equipment check
  • Individualized emergency, outage, evacuation, backup-caregiver and missed-visit continuity plan plus accessible quality dashboard

Passing standard: 80 of 100 points, with substantive revision required.
