Current availability
The subject-specific curriculum is authored but not yet published for completion. Learners may inspect its scope and learning design now. Start, grading, and completion remain unavailable until every listed gate passes.
- qualified review approval is required
- reviewer identity, qualification, evidence, and approval date are required
What this course establishes
- Model an interactive experience as people, contexts, goals, states, transitions, inputs, outputs, failures and accessibility needs tied to explicit decisions
- Design and quality-check consented usability research and privacy-conscious event instrumentation that preserve denominators, versions and causal boundaries
- Integrate qualitative, behavioral, performance, accessibility and experiment evidence into prioritized recommendations with uncertainty, guardrails and validation plans
Entry knowledge
- Basic spreadsheet and descriptive-statistics skills
- Ability to read a journey map and interface prototype
- Respectful observation and evidence-based writing
Scope boundaries
- Uses fictional participants, products, venues, sessions, events, experiments and records only. Learners must not record or track real people, collect biometrics or precise location, test unsafe stimuli, diagnose disability or health conditions, manipulate users, deploy code or claim causal impact from observational data.
- Web WCAG requirements do not by themselves cover every mobile, game, physical, kiosk or XR need. XR Accessibility User Requirements are a W3C Working Group Note describing user needs, not a conformance standard. Qualified accessibility, privacy, safety, research, engineering and jurisdiction reviewers remain necessary.
Fastest competency route
Completion is self-paced and competency-based. Prior analytics or design experience shortens study only when experience states, participant context, event semantics, consent, data quality, uncertainty, accessibility and recommendations are reproducible; no completion time, certification, causal lift, product success or career outcome is guaranteed.
- Pass diagnostics on experience states, task models, research questions, consent, accessibility, event contracts, denominators, performance, experiments, privacy and deceptive design
- Audit the synthetic session and telemetry ledger and reproduce every identity, timestamp, sequence, version, consent, exposure, accessibility, latency and causal correction
- Complete a decision-ready experience analysis whose research, instrumentation, quality checks, findings, recommendations and validation plan reconcile
Full self-paced route
- Experience systems, journeys, states, accessibility and decision framing
- Research, instrumentation, data quality and performance evidence
- Analysis, experimentation, ethics, prioritization and validation
- Applied interactive-experience evidence book
Lesson and assessment map
Experience systems, decisions, journeys, states, and accessibility
Model an interactive experience from user goal through observable states, failures and inclusive alternatives.
4 questions: recall, application, judgment, and error correction.
Research, instrumentation, data quality, and performance evidence
Collect interpretable qualitative and behavioral evidence with consent, stable semantics and validated quality.
4 questions: recall, application, judgment, and error correction.
Analysis, experimentation, ethics, prioritization, and validation
Convert mixed evidence into transparent, safe and testable experience decisions.
4 questions: recall, application, judgment, and error correction.
Required applied assignment
Analyze and improve a fictional interactive experience
Use only supplied fictional participants, products, venues, sessions and events. Do not track or record real people, collect sensitive signals, expose anyone to unsafe stimuli, manipulate users or deploy a real experiment. Real work requires authorized research, privacy, security, accessibility, safety, engineering, legal/compliance and domain review.
- Decision brief, context/people matrix, journey and alternate paths, state-transition/task model, accessibility requirements and safety/stop conditions
- Accessible research plan and agreement, recruitment/tasks/observation materials, event contract, synthetic validation scenarios, data-quality, privacy and performance controls
- Funnel/cohort/task/theme analysis with exact populations, denominators, missingness, uncertainty, accessibility and alternative explanations
- Pre-analysis experiment and ethics review, evidence matrix, prioritized recommendations, owners, validation/guardrail checks and rollback plan
Passing standard: 85 of 100 points, with substantive revision required.
Continue after this course
- Supervised UX research, product analytics, service design, game/user research, digital accessibility, human factors or experimentation
- Platform-, venue-, device-, population- and jurisdiction-specific research, privacy, safety and accessibility methods
- Credentials checked with their issuers; this internal course does not confer certification, licensure, college credit or authority to conduct regulated human-subjects research
