Current availability
The subject-specific curriculum is authored but not yet published for completion. Learners may inspect its scope and learning design now. Start, grading, and completion remain unavailable until every listed gate passes.
- qualified review approval is required
- reviewer identity, qualification, evidence, and approval date are required
What this course establishes
- Organize a fictional patient record with the nursing process and NCSBN clinical-judgment sequence while separating cues, inferences, priorities, actions and evaluation
- Identify infection-prevention, identification, medication, fall, equipment and deterioration risks and select the correct supervised safety response
- Produce factual documentation, closed-loop communication, a structured handoff and an ethical escalation plan that preserve consent, privacy, equity and accountability
Entry knowledge
- College-level reading, basic biology and arithmetic
- Ability to interpret units, ratios and time without guessing
- Commitment to stop and escalate when authorization, competence or patient safety is uncertain
Scope boundaries
- All cases are fictional and all skills are paper, digital or simulation-only. Learners must not assess, diagnose, triage, treat, administer medication, calculate a real dose, inject, insert or remove a device, perform sterile or invasive care, restrain, transfer, lift, feed, collect a specimen, interpret a real test, change oxygen or equipment, give patient-specific advice, or respond independently to an emergency through this course.
- This internal certificate-of-completion course is not an approved nursing program, clinical placement, degree, college credit, RN/LPN/LVN license, NCLEX authorization, certification, continuing-education credit or employer competency validation. Only the applicable board, school, clinical site and employer can determine eligibility, scope and authorization; no completion time, exam result, license, transfer, placement or employment outcome is guaranteed.
Fastest competency route
Completion is self-paced and competency-based. Prior knowledge can shorten study only when every cue, calculation, risk, action, communication and evaluation is traceable in simulation; no completion time, clinical competence, NCLEX result, licensure, authorization, credit or employment outcome is guaranteed.
- Pass diagnostics on clinical judgment, patient safety, infection prevention, medication systems, communication, documentation and ethics
- Repair every planted defect in the fictional nursing safety audit
- Complete and defend a simulation-only clinical reasoning, safety and handoff dossier
Full self-paced route
- Nursing process and clinical judgment
- Infection, identification, medication and environmental safety
- Communication, documentation, ethics and transitions
- Applied simulation dossier
Lesson and assessment map
Nursing process and clinical judgment
Use a structured, evidence-informed reasoning cycle to recognize and escalate risk in fictional cases.
4 questions: recall, application, judgment, and error correction.
Infection, identification, medication, and environmental safety
Detect high-risk system defects and choose stop, verify, isolate, or escalate actions in simulation.

Show traceable clinical judgment, safety gates, infection and medication controls, communication, documentation, consent, privacy and evaluation. Do not diagnose, prescribe, calculate a real dose or claim clinical competence or licensure.
- Cue, trend, hypothesis, priority, authorization and outcome map
- Infection, identification, medication, environment and equipment safety audit
- Accessible patient communication, teach-back, SBAR, check-back and handoff
- Objective documentation, consent/privacy analysis, near-miss report, evaluation and corrected version history
Passing standard: 80 of 100 points, with substantive revision required.
