Current availability

The subject-specific curriculum is authored but not yet published for completion. Learners may inspect its scope and learning design now. Start, grading, and completion remain unavailable until every listed gate passes.

  • qualified review approval is required
  • reviewer identity, qualification, evidence, and approval date are required

What this course establishes

  • Map academy, POST, certification, appointment, jurisdiction and agency-policy gates without claiming peace-officer authority
  • Apply fictional procedural-justice, communication, accessibility, de-escalation, legal-threshold, victim/witness and referral controls
  • Audit fictional scenes, evidence, reports, emergency coordination, force/medical response, data quality, supervision and community-accountability systems

Entry knowledge

  • Clear communication, reading and report writing, emotional self-regulation, ethical reasoning, observation, basic data literacy and respect for civil rights
  • Ability to separate dispatch information, witness report, officer observation, evidence, inference, probable cause determination, policy decision and court finding
  • Commitment to slow, disengage or escalate through authorized channels when legal authority, identity, threat, medical need, communication, evidence or supervision is uncertain

Scope boundaries

  • All people, calls, agencies, locations, evidence and events are fictional. Learners must not stop, detain, search, arrest, pursue, interrogate, direct traffic, enter property, seize evidence, administer a field test, carry or use a weapon, use force, impersonate an officer, access protected systems, issue a citation, make a report about a real person, or intervene in a real emergency through this course.
  • This is not a police academy, POST-certified course, field training, firearms or defensive-tactics training, first-aid certification, background or fitness clearance, peace-officer license/certification, oath, commission, appointment, continuing education, college credit or authority to exercise police powers. Each jurisdiction and hiring agency decides eligibility and authorization.
  • No completion time, score or internal certificate predicts hiring, academy completion, certification, appointment, fitness, legal authority, safety, enforcement outcome or community trust. Call the verified local emergency service for a real emergency; do not rely on this course.

Fastest competency route

Completion is self-paced and competency-based. Prior knowledge can shorten conceptual study only when legal authority, policy, facts, alternatives, communication, evidence, medical care, supervision, documentation and outcomes remain traceable across varied simulations. Physical, tactical and operational competence requires authorized in-person training; no fastest-hour, certification, appointment or safety promise is made.

  1. Pass diagnostics on authority, procedural justice, accessibility, legal thresholds, de-escalation, evidence, reports, incident command, force accountability and data quality
  2. Repair every planted defect in the fictional police-service audit
  3. Complete and defend the simulation-only constitutional public-safety and accountability dossier

Full self-paced route

  1. Role gates, public contact, procedural justice, communication, accessibility and legal decision structure
  2. Call response, victim/witness care, scene integrity, evidence, investigation support and report writing
  3. Emergency coordination, de-escalation, force/medical accountability, data, supervision, wellness and community learning
  4. Applied constitutional public-safety and accountability dossier

Constitutional public-safety and accountability dossier

Repair the fictional police-service audit and design one complete simulation from authorization and accessible contact through lawful decision structure, victim/witness care, scene/evidence integrity, report/classification, incident coordination, force/medical review and community-centered quality analysis. Use fictional records only and never take police action, handle real evidence, access a protected system or intervene operationally in a real incident.

  • NIMS role/command brief plus force, intervention, medical, evidence and supervisory review matrix
  • Defect reconciliation and quality dashboard with exposure denominator, missingness, disparity and balancing measures

Passing standard: 80 of 100 points, with substantive revision required.
