Current availability
The subject-specific curriculum is authored but not yet published for completion. Learners may inspect its scope and learning design now. Start, grading, and completion remain unavailable until every listed gate passes.
- qualified review approval is required
- reviewer identity, qualification, evidence, and approval date are required
What this course establishes
- Translate a bounded research question into a versioned protocol support package with variables, design, bias, ethics, safety and analysis plans
- Execute authorized synthetic-data and simulated-workflow tasks with traceable specimens or records, quality controls, deviations and reproducible transformations
- Produce calibrated, accessible findings that preserve uncertainty, provenance, privacy, research integrity, limitations and correction history
Entry knowledge
- Basic algebra, spreadsheet use and reading of scientific graphs
- Ability to distinguish an observation from an interpretation
- Commitment to follow approved protocols, safety controls and data-access rules exactly
Scope boundaries
- Uses fictional protocols, participants, specimens, sites and synthetic data only. Learners must not independently determine whether an activity is human-subjects research, recruit or consent people, access health records, collect biological material, administer an intervention, perform a clinical procedure, diagnose or treat, handle a hazard, work with animals, operate laboratory equipment, or change an approved protocol.
- Real work requires documented training, supervision, institutional authorization and the applicable principal investigator, sponsor, IRB or ethics body, privacy/security, clinical, laboratory, biosafety, occupational-safety, statistical, data-stewardship, accessibility and community authorities. This course is not GCP, laboratory, clinical, medical, nursing, public-health, biosafety, IRB or professional certification and does not authorize independent practice.
Fastest competency route
Completion is self-paced and competency-based. Prior study can shorten practice only when the learner can reproduce each source search, eligibility rule, measurement, protocol version, quality control, transformation, analysis and correction; no completion time, ethical or regulatory approval, scientific validity, publication, credential, college credit or career outcome is guaranteed.
- Pass diagnostics on questions, hypotheses, variables, design, bias, ethics, safety, consent, protocol control, data quality, analysis and reporting
- Repair every planted defect in the synthetic protocol and research-record audit while preserving an append-only correction trail
- Complete and defend the research support dossier, reproducible analysis, accessible report and stop/escalation decisions
Full self-paced route
- Question, evidence, protocol, design, ethics and safety
- Authorized execution, measurement, records and quality
- Analysis, reproducibility, interpretation, sharing and reporting
- Applied synthetic research support dossier
Lesson and assessment map
Question, evidence, protocol, design, ethics, and safety
Convert a scientific problem into an answerable, ethically and operationally bounded protocol support plan.
4 questions: recall, application, judgment, and error correction.
Authorized execution, measurement, research records, and quality
Carry out only delegated simulated tasks while preserving protocol fidelity, traceability, participant protection and valid measurements.
4 questions: recall, application, judgment, and error correction.
Analysis, reproducibility, interpretation, sharing, and reporting
Transform synthetic records reproducibly, make claims no stronger than the design, and release accessible evidence with privacy and integrity controls.
4 questions: recall, application, judgment, and error correction.
Required applied assignment
Plan, audit, analyze, and report a fictional health-research study
Use only supplied fictional protocols, participants, specimens, sites and synthetic data. Do not contact or enroll people, access real health records, collect samples, perform procedures, handle materials, operate equipment, make clinical decisions or claim IRB, sponsor, laboratory or regulatory authority. Real implementation requires documented institutional authorization, qualified supervision, protocol-specific training and jurisdiction review.
- Question/estimand, reproducible evidence search, evidence table, protocol synopsis, design/causal map, variable/measurement plan, sample-size rationale, bias and uncertainty register, ethics/privacy/safety routing and delegation plan
- Protocol/version and task controls, consent-accessibility simulation, SOP and measurement controls, calibration/QC, chain of custody, data dictionary and validation, discrepancy/deviation/CAPA, access and immutable correction records
- Versioned analysis dataset specification, provenance, code/pseudocode and tests, participant/record flow, primary and sensitivity analyses, effect/uncertainty, missingness, bias and integrity audit, and every synthetic-data repair
- Accessible report and machine-readable result with calibrated conclusion, protocol/deviations, harms, limitations, conflicts, contributor roles, DMS/privacy/repository plan, correction package and escalation record
Passing standard: 85 of 100 points, with substantive revision required.
