Current availability

The subject-specific curriculum is authored but not yet published for completion. Learners may inspect its scope and learning design now. Start, grading, and completion remain unavailable until every listed gate passes.

  • qualified review approval is required
  • reviewer identity, qualification, evidence, and approval date are required

What this course establishes

  • Map education, field-learning, examination, supervision, licensure, title and scope requirements without claiming that this course grants any of them
  • Build a fictional person-in-environment assessment and strengths-based service plan across individual, family, group, organization, community and policy systems
  • Audit fictional access, benefits/resource navigation, advocacy, safeguarding, documentation, referral, supervision and program-quality evidence

Entry knowledge

  • Foundational human development, social and behavioral science, writing, research literacy, digital literacy and respectful communication
  • Ability to distinguish social-work engagement, case management, advocacy, community practice and policy work from clinical assessment, diagnosis and psychotherapy
  • Commitment to stop and escalate when consent, capacity, identity, safety, abuse/neglect, law, scope, competence, supervision, privacy or technology is uncertain

Scope boundaries

  • Every person, family, household, record, agency and event is fictional. Learners must not act as a social worker, investigate abuse, determine capacity, eligibility or legal status, diagnose, provide psychotherapy, promise confidentiality, manage a crisis, contact a real client or agency, file a real report or application, or access a real record through this course.
  • This is not a CSWE-accredited BSW or MSW program, field education, ASWB examination preparation or eligibility, supervised experience, license, certification, school credential, continuing education, college credit or authority to use a protected title. Boards and jurisdictions determine whether education and experience qualify; employers, schools, payers and agencies impose additional rules.
  • No completion time, score or certificate predicts admission, field placement, examination performance, employment, licensure, transfer credit, benefit eligibility or client outcome. Immediate danger uses verified local emergency or crisis pathways and authorized supervision, never this course.

Fastest competency route

Completion is self-paced and competency-based. Prior knowledge can shorten study only when authority, ethics, person-in-environment evidence, service decisions, safety routing, records, continuity and outcome claims remain traceable across varied simulations; no time, degree, field placement, examination, license, competence, employment or client outcome is guaranteed.

  1. Pass diagnostics on professional authority, ethics, systems assessment, resources, advocacy, safety, records, supervision and evaluation
  2. Repair every planted defect in the fictional social-work service audit
  3. Complete and defend the simulation-only accountable-practice dossier

Full self-paced route

  1. Profession, generalist systems practice, ethics and engagement
  2. Assessment, resource navigation, advocacy and evidence-informed change
  3. Safeguarding, records, supervision, transition and accountable systems
  4. Applied accountable social-work systems dossier

Required applied assignment

Accountable social-work systems dossier

Repair the fictional service audit and design one complete, accessible social-work simulation from authority and engagement through assessment, multilevel plan, safety, transition and quality review. Use only fictional records; do not counsel, diagnose, investigate, report, apply for benefits, contact agencies or handle real client data.

  • Corrected case audit with one disposition per stable ID, explicit SW-018 duplicate resolution and attributable defect/remediation log
  • BSW/MSW/clinical pathway and jurisdiction crosswalk plus role, title, supervision, consent, confidentiality, records and accessibility controls
  • Person-in-environment assessment with client voice, strengths, systems map, material conditions, culture, risk/protection, provenance, uncertainty and jurisdiction questions
  • Collaborative micro/mezzo/macro plan with verified resources, advocacy governance, owners, dates, warm handoffs, contingencies and evaluation
  • Safeguarding, crisis, privacy, documentation, supervision, interprofessional and transition playbooks
  • Accessible quality report with unique-case denominators, missingness/dropout, equity stratification, uncertainty, fidelity and balancing harms

Passing standard: 80 of 100 points, with substantive revision required.
