Current availability

The subject-specific curriculum is authored but not yet published for completion. Learners may inspect its scope and learning design now. Start, grading, and completion remain unavailable until every listed gate passes.

  • qualified review approval is required
  • reviewer identity, qualification, evidence, and approval date are required

What this course establishes

  • Separate counseling, marriage/family therapy, clinical social work, psychology, school and substance-use credential pathways without implying interchangeable licenses
  • Build a fictional ethical intake and collaborative formulation from concerns, strengths, context, culture, function, risk, protective factors, goals and uncertainty
  • Audit fictional alliance, evidence-informed planning, measurement, crisis/safeguarding, documentation, telehealth, referral, supervision and quality systems

Entry knowledge

  • Foundational psychology, human development, social and cultural context, research literacy, ethics, communication and helping-system awareness
  • Ability to distinguish supportive listening, coaching, peer support, case management, counseling, psychotherapy, psychological assessment and emergency response
  • Commitment to stop and escalate when identity, consent, confidentiality, safety, abuse/neglect, scope, competence, supervision or technology is uncertain

Scope boundaries

  • Every client, family, symptom, assessment, diagnosis, crisis, session and record is fictional. Learners must not provide counseling or psychotherapy, diagnose, administer or interpret a psychological test, make a suicide/violence or abuse determination, create a real safety plan, manage a crisis, contact a real client, advise on medication, promise confidentiality, or access a real record through this course. Immediate danger requires local emergency services or the applicable verified crisis pathway, not this course.
  • This internal certificate-of-completion course is not a CACREP-, COAMFTE-, CSWE- or APA-accredited degree, practicum, internship, supervised postgraduate experience, examination eligibility or preparation guarantee, professional certification, state license, school credential, specialty qualification, continuing education, college credit or employment qualification. No completion time, exam, license, transfer, clinical competence, placement or client outcome is guaranteed.

Fastest competency route

Completion is self-paced and competency-based. Prior knowledge can shorten study only when profession-specific authority, ethics, context, formulation, evidence, risk escalation, documentation and outcomes remain traceable across varied simulations; no completion time, examination, certification, license, competence, credit, employment or client outcome is guaranteed.

  1. Pass diagnostics on profession boundaries, ethics, intake, formulation, alliance, planning, measurement, crisis, records, referral and quality
  2. Repair every planted defect in the fictional helping-services audit
  3. Complete and defend the simulation-only ethical service dossier

Full self-paced route

  1. Profession pathways, informed consent, confidentiality, boundaries and culturally responsive intake
  2. Collaborative formulation, goals, evidence-informed planning, alliance and measurement
  3. Crisis and safeguarding systems, documentation, telehealth, supervision, referral and quality
  4. Applied ethical helping-service dossier

Required applied assignment

Ethical helping-service dossier

Repair the fictional helping-services audit and design one complete simulation from credential verification and consent through transition and quality review. Use only fictional text records. Do not counsel, diagnose, test, treat, safety-plan for, contact or access records for a real person.

  • Corrected case audit with one disposition per stable ID, explicit TC-018 duplicate resolution and defect/remediation log
  • Counseling/LMFT/social-work/psychology/school/substance-use credential crosswalk plus identity, supervision, consent, confidentiality, records, accessibility and boundary controls
  • Complete fictional culturally responsive intake, strengths/context evidence, risk/protective screen and provenance-aware collaborative formulation
  • Client-selected goals, evidence-informed approach/mechanism rationale, alliance/rupture plan, measurement schedule and transition criteria without providing therapy
  • Crisis, safeguarding, telehealth, supervision, privacy, referral and warm-handoff playbooks with jurisdictional questions
  • Attributable documentation and accessible quality dashboard with case-level denominators, dropout, stratification and balancing measures

Passing standard: 80 of 100 points, with substantive revision required.
