Current availability
The subject-specific curriculum is authored but not yet published for completion. Learners may inspect its scope and learning design now. Start, grading, and completion remain unavailable until every listed gate passes.
- qualified review approval is required
- reviewer identity, qualification, evidence, and approval date are required
What this course establishes
- Translate evidence about users and content into an information architecture, task flow, page hierarchy and measurable acceptance criteria
- Create responsive visual and component systems with semantic structure, readable typography, valid interaction states and accessibility built into design specifications
- Prototype and evaluate representative tasks, synthesize evidence without overclaiming, hand off testable specifications and measure outcomes without manipulative design
Entry knowledge
- Basic browser and file literacy
- Ability to sketch and revise a task flow
- Introductory HTML and CSS vocabulary is helpful but not required
Scope boundaries
- Uses fictional research and content only; it does not authorize collection from real participants, production tracking, legal accessibility certification, publication of licensed assets, deceptive persuasion or implementation without engineering and content review
- Does not replace users with disabilities, qualified researchers, content specialists, developers, accessibility testers, privacy/security/legal teams, localization experts, brand owners or accountable product decision makers
Fastest competency route
Completion is self-paced and competency-based. Prior skill can shorten study only when every research, visual, interaction, accessibility, evaluation and revision criterion is demonstrated; no fixed duration, job, certification, WCAG conformance, user outcome, conversion, launch approval or commercial result is promised.
- Pass diagnostics on user needs, content, IA, hierarchy, typography, color, responsive layout, components, states, accessibility, prototyping, testing and ethical measurement
- Complete the supplied synthetic site-inventory redesign portfolio
- Correct every research, navigation, heading, contrast, reflow, focus, input, motion, content, consent, deceptive-pattern and handoff defect before final assessment
Full self-paced route
- User needs, content, information architecture and flows
- Responsive visual systems, components and accessibility
- Prototyping, usability evaluation, handoff and ethical measurement
- Applied portfolio and final assessment

Required applied assignment
Evidence-to-handoff responsive website redesign portfolio
Using only the supplied fictional inventory, redesign one complete high-value task from evidence and content through responsive accessible specifications, prototype evaluation and implementation handoff. Do not use real participant data, unlicensed assets, manipulative patterns or claim legal conformance, production readiness or universal usability without qualified review and implementation testing.
- Evidence and assumption register, inclusive audience/context matrix, top-task definition, content inventory/model, sitemap, tested labels and complete state-aware user flow
- Responsive layouts at required widths/zoom, design tokens, typography/color/spacing rationale, component states, semantic order, keyboard/focus map, content and accessibility annotations
- Prototype, research/consent plan, neutral task script, observation evidence, severity synthesis, revised design and bounded findings
- Developer/content handoff, asset/license and localization notes, acceptance tests, ethical analytics/guardrails, implementation review, peer critique response and substantive revision history
Passing standard: 85 of 100 points, with substantive revision required.
